Are you looking for a quiet, upscale neighborhood that’s close to all the action? Then don’t hesitate to check out Eagle Ridge, a small residential neighborhood in the southwest quadrant of the city. This neighborhood, which was first developed in 1960, is exclusive, affluent, and surrounded by an abundance of green space. Eagle Ridge has a population of approximately 415 and is made up mostly of single family estate homes. Less than 10% of the neighborhood’s housing is comprised of condominiums or apartments.

Location

Eagle Ridge, Calgary is located on the eastern shore of Glenmore Reservoir, a popular recreational area. Furthermore, Heritage Park, which features boat docks and trails, takes up approximately half of the neighborhood. Eagle Ridge is bounded by 14 Street W to the east, Heritage Drive to the south, Glenmore Trail to the north, and Glenmore Reservoir to the west.

Eagle Ridge is a desirable community that is ideal for people who want to lead an active lifestyle. There are 97 single family estate homes in Eagle Ridge, Calgary and they range in price from around $1 million to $6 million. The homes in Eagle Ridge are located on large lots featuring an abundance of mature trees and greenery.

Amenities

The LRT is located near Eagle Ridge, Calgary, and the city’s major roadways, including Crowchild Trail, 14th Street, and Glenmore Trail, can be accessed easily. Neighboring Glenmore Reservoir offers an array of recreational opportunities, including paddling, sailing, and cycling. Heritage Park, which is located within Eagle Ridge itself, is Canada’s largest living historical village and features an authentic steam train, antiques, and costumed interpreters. Rockyview General Hospital is located immediately north of the community.

Eagle Ridge, Calgary is home to Chinook Park Bilingual Elementary and Henry Wise Wood Senior High. Additionally, at the time of writing, a preschool was in the process of being built. Eagle Ridge is served by the Chinook Park-Kelvin Grove-Eagle Ridge Community Association, which organizes a variety of special events for residents each year, including a Halloween party, skating party, and an evening dinner and dance. The neighborhood’s community centre is located next to Henry Wise Wood High School and features various recreational programs, including highland dancing, soccer, tennis, yoga, wood carving, and karate. Next to the community centre, there’s an ice rink and basketball nets. The ice rink is paved, so during the summertime, it is used for inline skating.
