Glenbrook, Calgary is a residential neighborhood located in the southwest quadrant of the city. The neighborhood, which was established in 1958, has a population of nearly 7,000. Most of the homes there were built in the 1960s and 1970s. Glenbrook is about eight kilometers away from the downtown area, so itís a convenient neighborhood for anyone who works downtown and wants to live somewhere that offers a hassle-free commute.


Glenbrook, Calgary is bounded by 26th Avenue S to the north, 37th Street W to the east, Richmond Road to the south, and Sarcee Trail to the west. The homes in Glenbrook are located near the West Hills Shopping Centre, Glenbrook Bakery, Optimist Park, and several other amenities. From a number of points in Glenbrook, such as the knoll just north of the Co-op Shopping Centre, you can enjoy great views of the Rockies.

Glenbrook, Calgary is made up of a mix of single family homes, ramblers, ranchers, and low-rise condominiums. Cross Junior High and Glenbrook Elementary public schools, as well as Calgary Christian, St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary, and St. Gregory Elementary-Junior High.

The Glenbrook Community Centre is a spacious facility that is a popular meeting place for community members. The centre features an outdoor barbecue, indoor fireplace, and outdoor rink. There is an abundance of green space at nearby Optimist Park, where baseball, slow pitch, hockey, field hockey, and soccer games take place on a regular basis.
