The community of Glendale Meadows, Calgary is located in the southwest quadrant of the city. Glendale Meadows, which is also known as Glendale, is
just three kilometers away from the downtown area and has a population of approximately 2,770 residents. Glendale Meadows was established in 1955
and annexed by the city the following year.

itís finished, residents of Glendale Meadows will have easier access to public transport.
Glendale Meadows, Calgary was developed in the late 1950s. Like other neighborhoods of its time, Glendale Meadows features curvilinear streets. Over
90% of the housing in the community consists of single family homes, and the majority of Glendale Meadowsí residents are homeowners.
The residents of Glendale Meadows, Calgary are served by Glendale Elementary and Glenmeadow Elementary public schools, as well as by St. Gregory
Junior High, which is a catholic school. Residents of Glendale Meadows can enjoy a variety of recreational activities at Optimist Athletic Park, which is
home to soccer fields, hockey fields, baseball and softball diamonds, and football fields.
Other facilities located in Glendale Meadows include the Glendale Community Centre, which is situated in a valley on the southwest side of the
neighborhood. The community centre also features a meeting room, a hardwood dance floor, an abundance of green space, and convenient access to
pleasure rinks. Recreational amenities located in Glendale Meadows include sports fields, a skating rink, and a rollerblading surface.
Glendale Meadows is served by the Glendale & Glendale Meadows Community Association. Programs organized by the community association include a
Block Watch, Community Casino, seniorsí program, fitness classes, and sports. The association also plans fun community events each year, including a
Family Fun Day, a Halloween party, and a Christmas party. The Glendale Community Nursery School, which is located in the Glendale Community Centre,
offers stimulating programs for three and four year olds.
