Lincoln Park, Calgary is a residential neighborhood located in the southwest quadrant of the city. The community is located in a section of the former Canadian Forces Base in Calgary that served as a Royal Canadian Air Force airfield during World War II. The community was named after military housing in the community where United States Air Force members were stationed during the war. Lincoln Park, Calgary is a great place to live if you’d like to reside within walking distance of Mount Royal College and in close proximity to recreational facilities and the amenities in the downtown area.


Lincoln Park, Calgary is located north of Glenmore Trail and west of Crowchild Trail. Mount Royal College and ATCO Industrial Park are located within the community. Lincoln Park, Calgary residents have easy access to major routes that lead to Kananaskis Country and into the downtown area.

Real Estate

Most of the residences in Lincoln Park, Calgary are condominiums. In fact, there are only eight single family homes and over 2,000 low-rise condo units in Lincoln Park. Condos in Lincoln Park, Calgary have an average sale price in the mid-$200,000s.

The lovely condos in Lincoln Park are popular with students of Mount Royal College because of their proximity to the school, as well as the easy access they offer to shops and restaurants in the downtown area. Parks and Recreation

Lincoln Park, Calgary is served by the Rutland Park Community Association. Special events that the Rutland Park Community Association organizes include Winterfest, which includes face painting, outdoor skating, and other fun activities.

Recreational facilities available in the Lincoln Park and Rutland Park area include an outdoor swimming pool, outdoor skating rink, and sports fields. There are golf courses on the eastern edge of the community. At Optimist Park on Sarcee Trail, there’s an indoor ice arena, and at Mount Royal College, there’s an indoor pool. The recreational pathway system bordering the Glenmore Reservoir is also accessible in the southern part of the Lincoln Park community. When residents of Lincoln Park, Calgary want to catch a movie, they can go to the multiplex cinema at Westhills Shopping Centre.
