Mayfair, Calgary is a small residential neighborhood located in the southwest quadrant of the city. Annexed by the city in 1956 and developed in
approximately 1957, Mayfair is a well-to-do community with a population of only 473 people. From its quick access to the downtown area to its
abundance of recreational pursuits, there are several advantages to living in Mayfair.
Mayfair is bounded by the upscale community of Bel-Aire to the north, Elbow Drive to the east, Glenmore Trail to the south, and Glenmore Reservoir to
the west. Elbow Drive offers direct access to the downtown area, which is located six kilometers north of Mayfair. The homes in Mayfair are located on the
east side of the Glenmore Reservoir, so residents have access to several coveted recreation areas.
There are 154 single family detached homes in Mayfair, Calgary and none of them are occupied by renters. Much of the real estate in Mayfair dates

Parks and Recreation
In Mayfair, Calgary, most recreational opportunities are around the Glenmore Reservoir. There’s a sailing club on the east shore and south shore of the
reservoir. Other open spaces in the area include Lincoln Park, North Glenmore Park, and South Glenmore Park. In addition, there are several recreational
pathways accessible in the area. Heritage Park is also located just west of 14th Street.
Recreational facilities in Mayfair, Calgary include the Calgary Golf and Country Club, which is accessible via Elbow Drive in the north; the Trico Centre for
Family Wellness, which is located to the east on Anderson Road; and two wave pools, which are located to the west of the community. There’s also an
indoor ice arena on Heritage Drive and a waterslide park beside Macleod Trail.
Mayfair, Calgary is served by the Mayfair Bel-Aire Community Association. Recreational amenities located in the community include tennis courts, an
outdoor skating rink, and sports/playfields. In addition, several programs are offered for community residents, such as Block Watch, Scouts and Guides,
Youth Justice, and Boys & Girls Club.
