Mount Pleasant, Calgary is located in the northwest quadrant of the city. Annexed in 1910 and established as a neighborhood in 1912, Mount Pleasant is one of the oldest communities in the city. The neighborhood consists of a diverse mix of vintage homes and modern homes. Approximately 4,800 people call Mount Pleasant home.


Mount Pleasant, Calgary is bounded by Confederation Park and 32nd Avenue to the north, 2nd Street to the east, 16th Avenue (aka Trans-Canada Highway) to the south, and 10th Street to the west. The community of Rosedale is located just south of Mount Pleasant. The downtown area is only 4km away and can be accessed via 10th Street.

Real Estate

Mount Pleasant, Calgary features a blend of modern homes and condominiums, as well as older character homes. Most of the buildings in Mount Pleasant are single family detached homes. Homes have an average sale price of around $550,000, while condos have an average sale price of around $330,000. Around 40% of the residents in Mount Pleasant are renters.

Mount Pleasant, Calgary is served by the Mount Pleasant Community Association, which organizes a broad assortment of programs for community residents. Programs that Mount Pleasant residents have access to include a playgroup, a before and after school program, fitness and yoga classes, dance groups, and a playgroup. Special events held in the community every year include a Stampede Breakfast, a community summer festival called Day in the Park, movie nights, wine tastings, Easter and Christmas events, and much more. At the time of writing, the community association is in the process of developing a community garden.
