Mountview, Calgary is a low-density residential neighborhood in the northwest quadrant of the city. This mature community was established in 1932 and
significantly expanded in the 1950s, when new homes were built around existing war-time homes. Some of these older homes have been replaced by
newer homes since then.
Mountview is located next to the neighborhood of Winston Heights, and the two communities share the same community association. Around 3,631 people call Winston Heights/Mountain View home. There is currently a redevelopment plan in place for the area. The goal of the redevelopment plan is to enhance natural areas, showcase community architecture, and design the neighborhood in a way that supports community interaction.

Mountview, Calgary is situated along the west escarpment of the Nose Creek Valley. It is bounded by 32nd Avenue to the north, Nose Creek Park and Deerfoot Trail to the east, Trans Canada Highway to the south, and Edmonton Trail to the west. Edmonton Trail offers quick access to downtown Calgary and connects to other major routes.
