North Haven, Calgary is a low-density residential neighborhood located in the northwest quadrant of the city. North Haven was established in 1963 and
was once ranch land that was used for grazing cattle. The community is located at the base of Nose Hill Park. Because of the area’s gently sloping
topography, North Haven’s residents can enjoy amazing views from a number of locations within the community.
Location
North Haven, Calgary is located immediately southeast of Nose Hill Park and 14th Street NW. It is bordered by Nose Hill Park to the west and John Laurie Boulevard to the south and east. John Laurie Boulevard separates North Haven from the neighboring communities of Cambrian Heights and Thorncliffe. John Laurie Boulevard also connects to McKnight Boulevard, which takes you to the Calgary International Airport. Upper North Haven, which is considered a separate community, is located to the north of North Haven. North Haven is a popular place to live because of its proximity to Nose Hill Park, which features an extensive recreational pathway system. North Haven’s residents can also access the downtown area quickly via 14th Street.
