Parkhill, Calgary is one of the city’s oldest communities. Located in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Parkhill is an inner-city neighborhood sitting on a north-facing hill that overlooks Stanley Park. Parkhill was established as a neighborhood in 1910 and boasts unique styles of architecture that you won’t find in suburban parts of the city. Parkhill, Calgary is located immediately north of Elboya. It is bordered by Mission Road in the north, Macleod Trail in the east, Crescent Boulevard in the south, and the Elbow River in the west. Parkhill is located only minutes away from Calgary’s downtown core.

Conveniences and recreational facilities located near Park Hill include the Glencoe Club, Lindsay Parks Sports Centre, and Stanley Park, which has an outdoor pool, pebble beach, picnic area, and more. Stanley Park consists of 52 acres and stretches along the entire west side of the community. The Calgary Stampede Grounds are also close by.

Parks and Recreation

Parkhill, Calgary is served by the Parkhill Stanley Park Community Association. Recreational facilities that are operated by the association include a skating rink, sports/playfields, and tennis courts. In addition, the association organizes a variety of special events in Parkhill on a regular basis, including a community wine event.
