Queensland is a residential neighborhood located in the southeast quadrant of the city. The neighborhood, which was annexed by the city in 1961 and established in 1973, is also home to the small community of Diamond Cove. Diamond Cove is located in the northeast corner of the neighborhood.

Queensland, Calgary is located west of the escarpment overlooking the Bow River, so it offers residents the opportunity to enjoy the abundance of recreational opportunities in the area. Furthermore, a long strip of land in the neighborhood has been designated as a public park in order to preserve the area’s natural beauty.

Queensland, Calgary is served by the Queensland Community Association, which organizes a variety of community programs for area residents, such as bingo, sports, fitness, preschool, a seniors’ program, and a youth justice program. Recreational facilities available to Queensland residents include an outdoor skating rink, sports/playfields, and tennis courts.
