Windsor Park

Windsor Park, Calgary is a residential neighborhood located in the southwest quadrant of the city. Windsor Park has a population of around 4,000. Development of the area began in the 1940s, but it wasn’t annexed by the city until 1951.

Windsor Park is a desirable place to live because it is located near a number of commercial centres, the downtown area, and plenty of green space. If you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood with affordable housing and recreational amenities where you can truly be a part of a community, Windsor Park is a wonderful place to call home.


Windsor Park, Calgary is bounded by 50th Avenue S to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, 58th Avenue S the south, and the Calgary Golf & Country Club and Elbow River to the west. Elbow Drive and Glenmore Trail both offer quick commutes to other parts of the city.

Real Estate

Windsor Park, Calgary is home to sought-after real estate. Although many of the homes were originally built in the 1940s, they have been replaced with newer infills and condos since then. Windsor Park features a mix of townhomes, condos, single family homes, and multi-family apartments. There are a total of 519 single family homes and 1,125 townhomes and condos in the area.

Homes in Windsor Park sell for an average of $528,097, while condos and townhomes in the area sell for an average of $205,000. On the west side of Elbow Drive, there are some multi-million dollar estates and condos. Windsor Park has a home ownership rate of around 40%.


Windsor Park, Calgary is located near several shopping centres, many of which are located along Macleod Trail. Schools that serve Windsor Park residents include Windsor Park Elementary and Providence Child Development Centre.

Parks and Recreation

Windsor Park, Calgary boasts numerous recreational opportunities. For one, it is located near the Glenmore Reservoir, which has a sailing club and recreational pathway system. Windsor Park is also located near Stanley Park and Heritage Park. In addition, there’s a water park nearby and an indoor skating rink on Heritage Drive.

The Windsor Park community centre is utilized by a number of groups. Activities and programs offered there include dance, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, and church meetings. Recreational facilities in the Windsor Park community centre include green space, a creative playground, two tennis courts, a skating rink, and a basketball court. Special events that the Windsor Park Community Association puts together on occasion include the Family Day Carnival and summer barbeques.
